Student Care

Student Care is a supplement plan available to UBC students through the AMS. You are automatically enrolled and pay through your student fees. You can opt-out if you are covered by a different supplement plan. Student Care covers expenses NOT covered by provincial health care plans. Includes dental, mental, vision, gender-affirming care, pharmaceuticals, and non-medical care like physical or massage therapy.

How to file a claim

• Collect your paid receipts 

• Fill out the proper form

• Mail the receipts and the form to

• You may also file health, but not dental claims online

• File all claims within 90 days of the end of the policy year in which the services were rendered (policy year ends August 31st) or within 90 days of the termination of your coverage.
